From now, I will show you through history the actual evidence that God exists.

Long ago, around 1800 BC, God (Jehovah) appeared to Abraham who lived in Mesopotamia, and gave him the following promise.

"Now the Lord said to Abram, >>Go from your country and your kindred and your father's house to the land that I will show you. And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you, and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing.<< (Gen 12:1-2)"

Abram (Abraham) followed God's word, left his hometown, and arrived at the land of Canaan (Israel today), where God gave him the following promise.

"And Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brother's son, and all their possessions which they had gathered, and the persons that they had gotten in Haran; and they set forth to go to the land of Canaan. When they had come to the land of Canaan, Abram passed through the land to the place at Shechem, to the oak of Moreah. At that time the Canaanites were in the land. Then the Lord appeared to Abram, and said, >>To your descendants I will give this land.<< So he built there an altar to the Lord, who had appeared to him. (Gen 12:5-7)"

After that, God promised Isaac son of Abraham to give the land of Canaan to his descendants, and Jacob son of Isaac, son of Abraham, to give the land of Canaan to his descendants.

Jacob had four wives and twelve sons, and his descendants lived briefly in Egypt, the great power of the time. Jacob's offsprings grew into a nation of millions there. Then God sent Moses the leader of Israel to Egypt to bring his people out of Egypt. It was around 1280 BC. At that time, millions of descendants of Jacob (whose nickname was Israel) were slaves in Egypt. It was impossible for a man to deliver Israelites who were slaves of a powerful nation Egypt. But God set them free after he had worked 10 disastrous miracles on Egypt, and split the sea. God got Israelites (Jacob's descendants) to sojourn in the dry wilderness for 40 years. It was impossible for a man to feed millions of people in a place where farming was not possible. God provided manna to feed them every day.

Like this, God made Abraham's descendants into a large nation in Egypt, then brought them out of Egypt to conquer Canaan, thereby achieving once the covenant he had made with Abraham.

However, just before Israel took the land of Canaan, God said, "If you (Israel) fall into idolatry like the Canaanites and do not keep my law, I will expel you from this land and scatter you among other countries. But if you repent your sins when you serve other nations as servants of them, I will bring you again into this land Canaan to live here."

"Yea, all the nations would say, 'Why has the Lord done thus to this land? What means the heat of this great anger?' Then men would say, 'It is because they forsook the covenant of the Lord, the God of their fathers, which he made with them when he brought them out of the land of Egypt, and went and served other gods and worshiped them, gods whom they had not known and whom he had not allotted to them; therefore the anger of the Lord was kindled against this land, bringing upon it all the curses written in this book; and the Lord uprooted them from their land in anger and fury and great wrath, and cast them into another land, as at this day.' (Deut 29:24-28)"

"And when all these things come upon you, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before you, and you call them to mind among all the nations where the Lord your God has driven you, and return to the Lord your God, you and your children, and obey his voice in all that I command you this day, with all your heart and with all your soul; then the Lord your God will restore your fortunes, and have compassion upon you, and he will gather you again from all the peoples where the Lord your Go has scattered you. If your outcasts are in the uttermost parts of heaven, from there the Lord your God will gather you, and from there he will fetch you; and the Lord your God will bring you into the land which your fathers possessed, that you may possess it; and he will make you more prosperous and numerous than your fathers. (Deut 30:1-5)"

Despite these warnings, Israel, after conquering the land of Canaan, settled in the land, committed evil things like Canaanites, collapsed, were taken captive to other nations, and became slaves to them. Israel went through the period of judges, of king Saul, of David, of Solomon. And after the period of one kingdom, Israel was divided into two kingdoms, the north kingdom, Israel, and the south kingdom, Judah, in time of Rehoboam. The north kingdom Israel was destroyed by Assyria in 721 BC and taken captive, and the south kingdom Judah was destroyed by Babylonia in 587 BC and taken captive.

God's warnings were fulfilled verbatim. But God certainly promised to bring back Israelites from the nations where they were taken captive to the land of Canaan if they repent where they were slaves. The Israelites, really, around 520 BC, were released from captivity and returned to Canaan and built the temple and served the God again there.

But Israel sinned again, was destroyed completely by Rome in 70 AD and scattered around the world again. Jews (the descendants of Abraham), who were living all over the world, gathered together and established the State of Israel on May 14, 1948. Can it be possible by human power for a people living scattered all over the world to gather and establish their nation?

Israel today is the result of God's promise to Israel's ancestor Abraham 4,000 years ago. Ask the Israelis whose ancestor Abraham is. Then they will all call Abraham their ancestor. Ask Israelis what god they serve. Then they will say they serve Jehovah, the God of Abraham.

God really exists!
