Jesus' death on the cross

God the Son who had been as a Person in the Trinity before creation took the humanity (the perfect human spirit and body) to his being and was incarnated in Jesus of Nazareth. (The Trinity (the one God) has three Persons, and a Person is a divine subject (a divine self) having the perfect divinity.) This Jesus Christ has a perfect divinity and a perfect humanity, therefore is the God-man. Perfect God as he was, Jesus Christ refrained from conducting himself with the equal qualification to that of God the Father, but lived as a servant of God and a prophet of Israel. He worked with the help of the Holy Spirit, as the prophets of God had done before.

This Jesus Christ died on the cross for all the sins of all of us. Jesus was treated thoroughly like a sinner. When he was crucified, he was regarded as a sinner even by God the Father. A father whose wicked son is about to be executed can say to him, "You deserve to die!" But a father whose righteous son is ahead of his righteous death for the sins of others will say to him, "I know you have no sins. You’re suffering for others. You’re praiseworthy. Your’re surely my son!"

When Jesus was crucified on the cross, God the Father thought him to be the most evil sinner, and turned his face away as if to say, “You deserve to die!” The Father regarded the Son as a real sinner thoroughly then. Thus Jesus had to cry, “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? (Matthew 27:46)” (The Father denied even the sonship of the Son then. The Father’s punishment upon the Son was real.)

Jesus’ suffering was real. It was never a deception. He himself paid the penalty of your sins and my sins to the Father completely. Thank Jesus.

The Father raised Jesus who had suffered a complete ordeal from the grave on the 3rd day after death and gave him an honorable name above all names, the Saviour of the world. All, men and angels, must kneel before him. Hallelujah! Easter is near.
