a tale of Lazarus, a beggar

The Bible tells us the story of Lazarus. He is a man who was sick and died of hunger at the gate of a rich man. As soon as he died, Lazarus went to heaven and rested in the arms of his father Abraham.

 

We should believe in Jesus Christ as the savior if we go to heaven. That is the law of God. I totally acknowledge this. But today, leaving out of the discussion for a moment the truth that one can be saved by faith, I'd like to think about the story of Lazarus. Why was Lazarus saved? He wouldn't enter the heaven if he sinned. The tale of Lazarus tells us how we are saved and go to heaven (if the question of faith is ignored).

 

I myself dramatized the life of Lazarus based on the Bible.

 

Lazarus was born in hopeful expectation of the patents who were poor, jet honest. His parents taught him an upright life. Lazarus has grown up, and now he should be independent from his parents. He has to get a job now. But at that time as these days it was hard to find a job. It was difficulty itself. He looked for a job here and there, but failed. Lazarus saw his friends. Someone gave a bribe to get a job. Some cunning friends amassed a fortune by fraud. A (female) friend didn't get a job, and earned money by prostitution. A (male) friend also earned money by male prostitution, or offering his asshole to the rich gays. Seeing all this, Lazarus didn't give up his life motto, that is 'to live uprightly!'

 

Lazarus became weaker and weaker. He got sick because he didn't earn money and eat enough. He couldn't but beg for food. 'At least an inevitable begging is not sin,' he thought. Thus Lazarus died from illness, while begging pitifully from day to day.

 

Seeing the sins of young people today, we realize how great Lazarus is! He is a man who would keep correct position of a human being when he must beg and suffer hunger and illness. He was just an idle beggar in the sight of others, but the very owner of the heaven in the sight of God.

 

Young men and women who do prostitution, selling your body for money is sin by the law of the nation and the heaven. You must not do it even when you die of hunger!
