It is an idolatry also for a man who does not know the God to make the images of indecent gods and to worship them, which the Bible forbids sternly. By the way, the Bible prohibits strictly believers' making the invisible God a visible idol. It means that you must not make an idol, regard it as the God himself, and worship it because he is invisible.

Why does the Bible ban such a idolization of God? Is it so bad that you carry and love the idolized visible God always as a man carries his girl friend's picture and kisses on it once in a while? But God says that there is no need to do so. When a person idolizes God, this results in a serious distortion of faith. The idol is damaged in length of time. An idol is an object which needs man's care. Idol is moved at man's will like a slave. An idol can not resist the violence and ridicule of man. An idol representing the God is no more than a stone or a log after all. (Its end is disposal as waste.) It does not represent even one percent of God's attributes, resulting in serious damage to the glory of God.

The Bible forbids believers to make images representing the God in order to gain their own interests. Why do they manufacture idols? Isn't it because eventually they are trying to force the blessing from gods? (But the God wants his freedom!)
