What you should be armed with when you fight against Devil are enumerated in Eph 6. And verse 14 says, "Stand therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness." The chest is the main target of the enemy's attack for it contains the lungs and heart. The armor-like breastplate should be attached on this important area to effectively defend against the enemy's attacks.

Now, the Bible says that the breastplate is the breastplate of righteousness. What does the breastplate of righteousness mean? The breastplate in Eph. 6 finds its meaning in the breastpiece (Lev 8:8), which was attached to the priest's ephod that he wore when he served God. The priest stands before God, wearing the ritual robe having the breastpiece that contains the Urim and the Thummim. The priest was able to confirm the will of God by drawing lots with the Urim and the Thummim in the breastpiece. Therefore, the breastpiece in the Old Testament told the judgments of God.

Therefore, the breastplate of righteousness in the Ephesians of the New Testament tells us that we must make a righteous judgment in accordance with God's will in order that we can ward off the attack of the Devil and make an attack against the Devil at the same time. In fact, the justice and peace of a nation depends on judges' judgment. Likewise, all Christians on the earth must make righteous judgments according to God's will and must make the world overflow with the righteousness and justice of God. So that we can overcome the Devil's cunning attacks.

Humanism has come into the heart of the saints today and disturbs the church and corrupts the gospel. (How can the wicked homosexuals be tolerated in the church in USA?) At this time, church members and Christian leaders must make clear judgments based on God's solemn words, not on human emotions. This will stop the Devil's attacks and save the church.
