Freedom itself is inherently good but becomes a problem when it comes to abuse. Today some newspapers reported that a Korean-American girl student in the U.S. made a speech and touched many people. In-Sun Kang, a reporter of the Chosun Ilbo, wrote about it prudently, while a reporter of Dong-A Ilbo, very carelessly. There was an ｅxpression >homosexuals' rights of marriage< in the speech. It is a very harmful statement to Korean readers. It was not certain if the student supported homosexuality or not. But it seemed that the girl supported homosexuals' marriage seeing that she espoused the cause of liberty, regardless of sex or race.

But this clumsy freedom is poisonous to humans: to oneself, to his family, and to the society severely. To support the reckless freedom of the individual, which is harmful to many people, is more than a short-sightedness: it is rather a foolish attitude toward life.

What is needed indeed for individuals, homes and society? Isn't it the liberation from unhappiness rather than the rash freedom? Liberation from the mental illness of homosex and from the evil culture of homosex is strongly required in USA today! And liberation from excess sex, liberation from obscene cultures, liberation from luxury and vanity, liberation from the attitude of defiance toward authority and traditional good custom should be essential to modern youth.

Now the United States must demolish the idol that has been destroying human beings' minds and happiness. The idol is the 'Goddess of Liberty.' Americans were unawares so brainwashed by this Goddess that they regarded indulgence as freedom, and lost true happiness. True happiness is possible only if there is liberation from misfortune. Americans must demolish the Goddess of Liberty, and worship only 'the God who liberates the human beings.' All of the Koreans must do so, too.
