The grasses bloom flowers and thank God that he gave them beautiful figure. But they have no mouth, so that unfortunately they say thanks only in their heart. One day a cow comes near and is about to graze the grass. The grass says without voice to the cow, 'Cow, cow! I haven't thanked so far God, who gave me life, sunlight and rain to get me to grow well, for I have no mouth. So please eat my body pleasantly and thank God on behalf of me. I've lived long enough. I do not hate you for eating me. You must thank God for me because I don't hate you.'

Eating the tasty grass of the fields, the cow has become fat. The cow, too, would thank God that he gave her delicious food, but didn't, for she had no mouth to say. She thanked the God just in thought. One day a man is about to slaughter the cow. The cow says in thought to the man, ‘Man, eat me pleasantly. But you must thank God for me in return for eating me (since you have a mouth to say)!’

My thought is this: if not the human being but the monkey could say, the human being should be the Monkey’s food. All humans who eat other creatures and sustain their lives should thank God for today’s meal on behalf of them. That is normal!

In the Bible, the God forbids man to eat the blood of animals. But this God gave humans the blood of his only begotten Son for drink so as to give them eternal life. In the Bible, there is no stipulation that man should be offered to God as a sacrifice. Such a custom was said to be rather an evil deed that heathens did to idols. God told his people not to imitate the customs of those heathens. This God made his own Son the sacrifice for the redemption of all sins of men. The degree of the dignity of a creature is judged by what the creature eats. Man is more valuable than cow because he eats it. By the way, the God gave the flesh of his Son to men for food! (This was fulfilled by Jesus on the cross. God really loves you, and really cherishes you!)

It is a great greed if you would receive preferential treatment from God because you are a Christian. Christians suffer the same tribulations as non-Christians do. It is a proper Christian attitude to thank God even when you suffer from trouble caused by illness and accidents.

Are there today any people who have renewed their mind to work harder for God but had an accident suddenly? Then what do you think of that? 'Thanks to my sins? Or is God ignorant of my true feelings? Or is God insincere?'

No, that's not true! God, having ascertained that your faith has grown enough, is now putting your cross onto you, a cross that has been deferred till now. So, thank God for mercy. It is a pity that you feel sad and condemn the God like the people of the world when you suffer the same hardship as they all do. Christians should thank God even when they suffer severer ordeals than those of the people of the world. Thereby the people will see the God in the mind of you, the Christians, and upon this opportunity, you can bring them to salvation, and you'll be much rewarded later by giving thanks to God in tribulations now.

The Bible tells us to thank God for all, despite all, always.
