Let me tell you my experience.
Someone left me a note before, and it read as follows, "Thanks for teachings on your blog." He seemed to be a pastor of an orthodox church.
Reading that, I thought, 'I've not lived a vain life!' At the same time, I clearly realized what the meaning of 'Thank you' is.
Gratitude gives good meaning to the lives of others. Therefore when we are grateful for the help we have received from others, those persons have achieved the purpose of their lives. The same holds to God. If we thank him for everything, and finally if we go to heaven and confess, "Thank you God for everything," God will think, 'I didn't create and care for the world and the humans in vain.' Our gratitude defines God's life beautiful.
That's why God so much wants us to thank him.
We must give thanks to God because he is good, gracious, and faithful to us, and loves us. And if you're honest, your life will be full of gratitude for God.
