"For in vain is a net spread in the sight of any bird; but these men lie in wait for their own blood, they set an ambush for their own lives. Such are the ways of all who get gain by violence; it takes away the life of its possessors. (Prov 1:17-19)"

In order to catch birds, people stretch nets covertly so that birds can not notice it. If you spread a net so obviously that the birds can know it, you belittle their intelligence too much. Even birds have the wisdom to avoid such nets.

However, there are many people in the world who are more foolish than birds.

They are the ones who cast nets that would catch them, destroy their lives, and cast them into hell, and themselves fall into the nets so that they receive great judgment on earth and go to hell even after death. They are more stupid than birds, aren't they? Isn't it foolish of them to spread a noticeable net and cast themselves into the net to meet eternal death?

Those who devise and implement a scheme to harm others are such foolish ones; and also those who commit sins at the encouragement of others are they.

"My son, if sinners entice you, do not consent. (Prov 1:10)"

A man who commits a crime at the persuasion of the wicked is a foolish person who throws himself into a net even when he has seen others casting the net to kill him.

The Bible clearly describes wisdom and foolishness as follows: "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction. (Prov. 1:7)"
