Before he died, Sakyamuni told his disciples not to idolize him, but why do you Buddhists defy his words and worship him who is but a human being? It's very wrong, so stop it immediately! If you do not believe me, ask the Buddhist professors at Dongguk University, about it.
And you must not bow to the metallic Buddha statues or wooden Buddha statues. However, you could keep bowing to a Buddha statue only if it winks at you when you bow to it, because it perhaps can bless you. You're totally stupid if you bow to a Buddha statue when it can't do it. It's abnormal for humans, the highest creature, to bow to a lifeless objects. Buddhists say themselves that Buddhism is a religion of wisdom, but their behavior is so far from wisdom.
Think of Sakyamuni on his birthday, who taught you the 108 sufferings. After all, aren't you worship his bones after his death? What on earth are you doing? Did only Sakyamuni say that life is bitter? Anyone over 30 years can say such a cliche.
Convert to Christianity. Christianity believes in God who is a true God. The God has prepared the way to salvation for humans. Life is full of agony and sin, but God promises to all that believe in Jesus as the Savior and obey him, that he will give them eternal life.
Don't refuse this offer because it is a salvation by faith, and because it is too easy to acquire. God, who created the heaven and earth, made it possible even for a child to be saved. God, knowing weaknesses of humans, has prepared a sure salvation for humans.
