>>And immediately there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out, "What have you to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are, the Holy One of God." But Jesus rebuked him, saying, "Be silent, and come out of him!" And the unclean spirit, convulsing him and crying with a loud voice, came out of him. (Mk 1:23-26)<<
>>You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe ㅡ and shudder. (Jas 2:19)<<
The demon told a truth(!) in the text. The demon testified in front of many that Jesus was the Holy One of God at that time when most people thought Jesus was just one of prophets who could perform miracles.
But Jesus commanded the demon who faithfully(!) said about something very important to come out of the man. What is the important thing with Jesus here? Jesus is saying here, "Do not speak right things when you do wrong to others!" How abominable it is for a man who likes speaking truth to take control of a person's heart and bring him to destruction!
One day, I was listening to a sermon on FEBC, Far East Broadcasting Co., Korea, where the author of the perdition of the church in Korea who devastated the spirit of Christianity in Korea by firmly practicing his pastoral philosophy of greed delivered with a convincing voice a sermon where he emphasized only Jesus and exalted him only. The man possessed by the demon of prosperity and money was raising Jesus so high in the gathering of so many people. (I mean Mr. Cho.)
Jesus would have said this to the man possessed with the demon of greed: "Don't say you know me! Don't call my name with your mouth, but go down from that pulpit! Don't take control of the spirit of the churches of Korea and the world to infiltrate your dirty spirit of greed into them and destroy them, but get out of my church (if you don't want to repent)!"
We call him mentally ill or possessed by demons who acts differently from his normal mind. All who refuse to live as they have preached normally with their mouth are psychotics or demoniacs. Those who like the wonderful, moving, truthful sermons such demoniacs delivered are easily subject to the same demon without noticing it. The fruits are hypocrisy, ruthlessness, and greed. Some Christians, whose faces and mouths say of the Christian truth, or holiness, love, and peace, but whose deeds do not say so, are humans deeply possessed by such a demon.
Dear Jesus' sheep, it is correct to judge people by their fruits (their deeds). Jesus taught us the very good way. The good sermons of those possessed by demons are like drug, and are evil messages with evil spirits, so love the sermons of the good shepherds who have a good religious character. True shepherds teach Jesus' words right, themselves practice them first, and love Jesus' sheep as themselves.
